Replacement Garmin Nuvi 200 Installation
Very straight forward. I reviewed the on line video before purchasing. The plastic case splitter "tool" was sturdy - thank you. I've read about some other suppliers kits not very sturdy. The torax tool was on the money also good quality. The provided screw driver was a little undersized so I grabbed one of mine. There is nothing special about the phillips it was a fairly common small screw. I believe an amateur would have good luck with this kit.
I warmed up the label area with a hair dryer first. Don't know if that helped or hurt but based on past expreience thought it the best way to go. Peeled off nicely and re-applied nicely. I would pry in areas away from the switch and memory card. I was somewhat agressive in my approach and did have some very small chipped finish areas by the seams. Totally my fault and a credit to the Garmin quality.
I like the Garmin and I liked the kit. Glad to have the Garmin back in production again.
This was an easy installation using the tools which were included in the package and watching the how to video-
