Garmin 5 Inch Portable Navigator Lifetime
This was to be my first GPS and I wanted outstanding performance in a 5 inch screen, but didn't want or need anything fancy (like Bluetooth, etc) but did want lifetime maps. The Garmin nuvi 50LM was the perfect choice and I have not been disappointed. It is easy to use, fast and accurate. The screen is bright with excellent contrast. It is 'turn by turn" and specifically mentions the names of the streets. The default voice is strong and easy tonhear/understand. Overall, the Garmin nuvi 50LM is simple, basic and outstanding. I also bought the "beanbag" mount for the top of the dashboard and it is GREAT!! It makes is so easy to remove the GPS from sight when parked or after use, plus move the Garmin nuvi 50LM from vehicle to vehicle. In my opinion, the Garmin 50LM is the best value for money for basic "no frills" automotive GPS. I am very pleased with the Garmin nuvi 50LM and my choice in buying it. You can be too!!

ReplyDeleteI need a GPS unit where I can make my own map directions on dirt/gravel roads, something that will track my drive to the location and save those directions......any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI was considering the 1390LMT with lifetime maps. But are there any others i should considered for under 200 bucks? Please speak of personal experience and thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy employer wants me to find a GPS at a reasonable cost, to put in all of the trucks we have at our company. The GPS needs to know car only roads, height of bridges, etc. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI have tried at least 6 gps recently but most of them were TOMTOM. When I used them I have noticed most of them were announcing when it's too late to make decision.example:-If I had to make left turn then it will announce very late and possibly can get in to accident.I wonder if there any other brand or even tomtom gps that doesn't exceed more then 125 bucks?I am really tired now by tiring them and then returning them.Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy dad drives from city to city in order to deliver concrete material. He needs a good GPS Navigation system, which is a really good and trusted one?
ReplyDeleteFor several years I have been using a Garmin Nuvi 760. I love the screen size and the simplicity. It has started to break down recently and even with software updates, I think it's reached the end of the line. So if anyone has a suggestion for a gps that is similar, it would be greatly appreciated.
